這首歌是主角群們為了抗議電視台所舉辦的黑人日，因此聚在街頭上，舉起木牌，唱著這首歌，向所有人宣告他們的不滿。
在畫面的切換中，眾人堅定的歌聲以及略為徬徨的眼神，形成了一個強烈的對比，因為不知道明天或是更遠的未來是否真的會有所改變，但是就如歌詞裡說的一樣，他們不能坐以待斃，他們必須親手拿起象徵自由的旗幟，親自走上那名為革命的路，為得不只是自己，更為了他們的孩子，更為了平等。

這首歌是我在《髮膠》一片裡最有印象也感觸最深的歌，台灣的孩子大多沒經歷過改革，也因為是島國的關係，種族歧視根本不存在，或許可能沒辦法完全體會這首歌的意境，但仍給我一個相當沉重的警惕，在外頭，歧視仍然存在，我們也誠然希望某天人類之間的歧視能夠完全消弭。同時皇后也在2014年受諾貝爾和平獎邀請至發表會演唱這首歌，即使是現場演唱也相當的具穿透力。

福音式的唱法在早期黑人音樂中尤為常見，我個人也十分喜愛這種音樂形式，要是有人也喜歡福音音樂，可撥空觀賞《歡樂之聲》（Joyful Noise），拉蒂法在其中也有演出。
